Helpful Resources

I'm just starting this page (April 14, 2022) and hopefully I'll do as I intend and continue to add to it.

This is an effort to pull together many of the apps and programs I find helpful and other resources I've found.

Sometimes I have become an affiliate with a company so I can offer you a discount and get a small commission if you purchase through my link. I promise not to recommend anything I don't use myself and highly recommend!

Manage Your Client Pipeline with Honeybook

Honeybook has changed the way I organize business. I used to use Trello, but it lacked automation.

If you look at my Contact page, the contact form is an embedded Honeybook form. When you fill it out, it creates a new project for me in Honeybook. You're then automatically taken to my calendar where you can schedule a zoom call.

I have created email templates, so when someone schedules a call, an email with the zoom link is automatically sent to them. I also have another email template that I send out asking for some additional information.

One of my favorite features is the brochure feature. You can create a brochure highlighting your different services and send it to new prospects. Once they select the services and submit the brochure, Honeybook automatically creates a contract with the selected services entered and client's name and information. Same with the invoice.

I take payments through Honeybook, plus I also track my expenses in Honeybook, so it makes bookkeeping very easy. It also tells me how much sales tax I have collected and need to pay the state of Texas.

If you use my link you'll get 50% off Honeybook for your first year. It's a GREAT deal (I only got 20% off when I signed up). With the cheaper plan you can only collect up to $10,000 total, so I recommend signing up for the Unlimited plan. Both plans include all the features though!

Keep Your Privacy Policy Up-to-Date with Termageddon

All websites need a privacy policy page on their website. Even if you don't think you're collecting personal information on your website, you probably are.

For example, most website builders collect statistics about how many people visited your website. They get that information by collecting personal information. Granted, it isn't THAT personal...it's just usually the general location of where the person was when they accessed your website, what type of device they were using, and where they came from, but that's still considered private information (aka, cookies).

In addition, if you have a contact form on your website, you're collecting private information. This information is voluntary...you're only collecting that if the visitor fills out the form, but still you're collecting it. The privacy policy spells out what you intend to do with that information.

There are all sorts of laws regarding privacy policies, cookies, etc. and they seem to change on a regular basis. I've signed up with a company called Termageddon to simplify this for me.

What I like about Termageddon is that once I sign up, I answer several questions about my business and my website and Termageddon automatically generates a proper privacy policy for me.

When I embed the privacy policy on my website, Termageddon automatically keeps it up-to-date based on the latest privacy laws. Sometimes I get emails asking for more information based on whatever the new law says. This gives me such peace of mind!

Termageddon also creates Terms and Conditions, cookie notifications, and more (all included in one yearly package).

Termageddon is $99/year for the privacy policy, terms and conditions, cookie consent, cookie policy, disclaimers, and EULA.

You can use my link to sign up with Termageddon on your own: Sign Up Here or if you're a client of mine, I can add the price of Termageddon onto your annual hosting plan.
