What is the process for getting a new website?

First, let's talk so that you have time to get to know me a little and ask questions. Let's make sure I'm the right person to help you with your website.

You can either give me a call at 682-231-3301 or use the form on my Contact page to send me an email and schedule a Zoom call.

Next, you'll get me your content, all the words and images you want on your website. If you don't have this all figured out yet, don't worry! We can make changes as we go plus you'll be able to change the wording and images later if you want.

Once I have your content, I'll create a draft of your website. This only takes a few days. From there, you and I will start tweaking it so we get it exactly how you want it. We aren't done until you're happy with it!

  • How long will it take to get a new website?

    I know you want you to get your website done quickly. If you are responsive on your end, working with me to decide on the layout and content for your website and suggesting changes once I give you the draft, your website can be completely done in about 2 weeks. I would like to have your website complete within 30 days at the most.


  • What if I don't know what I want on my website?

    We can work together to help you come up with the content for your website. We will look at the websites of others in your field and figure out what they are doing right and use that as a guide to make sure your website outshines your competitors. 

  • What if I want to make changes to my website later?

    I use a platform called Duda that makes it easy to make simple changes to your website, plus I'm happy to make small changes for you (included in your monthly maintenance fee). If you have bigger changes, I can make them for you at my hourly rate (currently $75/hr). 

  • What if I don't like my website when you're done with it?

    I want you to be happy. If I create your website and you don't like it and we're unable to get it just how you want it, you don't have to pay the second half of my fee. (This has never happened!)

  • What type of pictures will go on my website?

    Images set the tone of your website and are a very important part of the overall design. I subscribe to three services, envato, freepik, and flaticon and can get you free images with licenses from those sites. 

  • How will people find my website?

    Basic SEO (search engine optimization) is included in the website package price and this will help you be found online. If you will get most traffic to your website through social media channels, I'll teach you how to optimize your profile so you'll get traffic from those platforms. You'll also want to make sure your website is included in your Google Business profile.

  • What if I'm not techy?

    I use a program to create your website that offers a simple editing option for my clients. If you need to change the text or images on your website, you'll find it is no harder than using Microsoft Word. If you need bigger changes, you can always get help from me. 

  • What special features can I have on my website?

    Your website can have a blog page, embedded YouTube videos or uploaded videos, contact forms, a Google map, files that can be downloaded, newsletter signups, social icons (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), and more. You can also have buttons and links that take you to other pages on your website or on the web.

  • What additional costs are associated with the website?

    With any website, you have three main costs:

    1. Website design to have the website created.

    2. Domain hosting (your address on the web, usually purchased at GoDaddy or Namecheap)

    3. Hosting/maintenance (this is a monthly charge).
